Paver Sealing in Sarasota, FL

Seal the clean in — and the weeds out.

The service

Why seal pavers?

Paver sealing is the application of a protective sealer to a paver surface after it has been cleaned and re-sanded — it locks the joint sand in place and shields the pavers from the things that age them. It only works in the right order: we pressure clean the pavers, let them dry fully, sweep fresh sand into the joints, and only then seal. Done that way, the seal stabilizes the sand so it stops washing out, resists the weeds and ants that colonize loose joints, deepens the stone’s color, and guards against oil, stains and the UV that bleaches unsealed pavers gray. You choose the finish — a natural matte look or a richer “wet look.” Sealing also makes future cleaning far easier, because grime sits on the sealer instead of soaking into the stone. It suits driveways, patios, pool decks and walkways.

Sealing only works on a clean, dry paver. We clean first — lifting years of grime, algae and old efflorescence — let the surface dry, re-sand the joints, and then apply a quality sealer that stabilizes the sand, resists weeds and ants, deepens the stone’s color and shrugs off oil and UV. Done in that order, a seal keeps a paver driveway or pool deck looking new for years instead of fading back to gray.

Pavers are a big investment, and Florida is hard on them: UV bleaches the color, rain and traffic work the joint sand loose, and weeds and ants move into the gaps. Sealing is how you protect that investment — but only if it’s done in the right order. Seal over dirty or damp pavers and you lock the problem in; that’s the mistake that gives sealing a bad name.

We do it properly: a full pressure clean to strip grime, algae and old efflorescence, complete drying time, fresh joint sand swept in to stabilize the pavers, and only then an even coat of quality sealer. The result stabilizes the sand, deepens the color, and shrugs off oil, stains and UV — so your driveway or pool deck stays looking new and is far easier to clean next time.

Paver Sealing questions from Sarasota homeowners

Still wondering about something? Call or text — Anthony’s happy to help.

Why seal pavers at all?

Sealing locks joint sand in place, resists weeds and ants, protects against oil and stains, and keeps color from fading in the Florida sun. It also makes future cleaning much easier.

Do the pavers have to be cleaned first?

Always. Sealing over dirt or algae traps it in. We clean, re-sand and let everything dry before a drop of sealer goes down.

Matte or a wet look?

Your choice — we can keep it natural or bring out a richer, enhanced “wet look.” We’ll show you the difference before we start.

How often should pavers be re-sealed?

It varies with sun exposure and traffic, but many Sarasota driveways and pool decks benefit from re-sealing every few years.
